Downtown Los Angeles Law Firm seeks a legal assistant/paralegal with the following qualifications:
- AT LEAST One (1) year of experience in immigration law - MUST HAVE DEPORTATION/IMMIGRATION COURT EXPERIENCE;
- Must speak, write and read Spanish;
- Excellent writing skills in English;
- Mature, responsible, and detail-oriented;
- Presentable and professional demeanor;
- Strong communications skills with clients;
- Be punctual and reliable at all time.
- Able to get things done with little direction.
- Must have a flexible personality and deal with numerous demands.
Duties include client telephone and office communication, client information intake, inputting information into different legal programs, compile outgoing applications with attorney oversight. Some letter writing. Must be familiar with MS Word, Excel, Outlook. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with all aspects of Immigration cases including but not limited to intake, Bonds, Cancellation of Removal, Visas, Asylum, and familiarity with all Department of Homeland Security applications.
