Nikki Mehrpoo Jacobson - Founding Partner of Jacobson & Han LLP
An Internationally recognized immigration law firm
Nikki Mehrpoo Jacobson, is the founding partner of Jacobson & Han LLP, an internationally recognized immigration law firm. She is an experienced attorney, immigration rights advocate and Assistant Professor of Law. Ms. Jacobson has extensive experience in all aspects of immigration law, including employer sanctions, employment-based, family-based immigration and deportation and removal defense.
Ms. Jacobson has been practicing law since 1997 and has successfully represented hundreds of clients before the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS – formerly INS), the United States Federal Courts and the Superior Courts of California. She has successfully represented clients in political asylum, withholding of deportation, cancellation of removal, and criminal and fraud waiver cases.
Additionally, she represents clients from all over the world before the USCIS, U.S. Embassies, and Consulates assisting them with consular processing, visas, adjustment of status, citizenship, naturalization hearings, various waivers, corporate immigration and employment matters, labor certifications, non-immigrant visas, and permanent residency options.
Ms. Jacobson has been recognized by Los Angeles Mayor Villaraigosa for her dedication and commitment to Immigration Law. She is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, for which she has been a speaker on many occasions, publication editor and immigration court liaison. Ms. Jacobson is also a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association and an Executive Member of the Immigration Law Section.
She is an active lecturer throughout the United States on various immigration law topics. Ms. Jacobson obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science (cum laude ) from California State University, Northridge in 1994. She earned her Juris Doctor degree from Pepperdine University School of Law in 1997. She was admitted to the California State Bar in 1997. She is also admitted to practice before the U..S. District Court for the Central District of California, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
